Vigilante V8 (327ci) Engine Torque Specs

The "Vigilante" V8 was an option in the J-series vehicles through the 1960's. It is not the Chevvy 327 V8 engine (with which it is often confused,) but it was in use around the same time as the Chevvy 327 - which contributes to the confusion.

So, you'll want to take these specifications with a grain of salt - I've done my best to make sure they're accurate, but can make no guarantees (since they've gone from the factory, to the publisher of the aftermarket manual, through a few editions (by now...) and finally from the manual - through me - to this website. I've checked the specs agains the manual before I posted this page - but that's no guarantee that the specifications reached me correctly. However, I've made sure that the specifications here match the specifications give me in the manuals. That's about all I can do for the moment - until I find reprints of factory literature (which have probably gone through several editions and have been officially out of print for 20 years or so...)
